Third Nature is a multi-stakeholder cooperative owned and governed by distinct member classes. Each operates on a one-member, one-share, one-vote basis, which means that people have power, not money.
It’s possible for Members to be two or more kinds of Member at once, meaning they have the rights and responsibilities of those two or more Member categories, but they will still have only one vote on any decision put to Members or on the election of any Director seat.
Founders or investors are on the same standing as other members and do not have disproportionate ownership or control.

Artist-Members operate on a one-project, one-share, one-vote basis. 100% of profits are redistributed back to Artists. Artist representatives have 2 seats on our board of directors.
Contributor-Members operate on a one-person, one-share, one-vote basis. After operational costs, 12.5% of revenue is redistributed back to Contributor Members. Contributor Member representatives have 2 seats on our board of directors.
Community Members are not technically owners, because they have no financial upside, but are able to participate in the co-op and gain governance rights on a one-person, one-vote basis.
A Community Member representative has 1 seat on our board of directors. Individuals can become Community Members of the co-op by paying an annual membership fee via our Bandcamp page.
